Zagat created an integrated marketing program for the Barbados Tourism Authority including the first-ever custom Zagat survey of a Caribbean destination. The program consisted of the Best of Barbados guide, exposure on ZAGAT.com and PR events to promote Barbados as the top vacation destination in the Caribbean. The Barbados Advocate noted "Tourism officials in attendance all agreed that the creation of a Zagat guide for Barbados places the island's tourism product in the upper echelons of the industry."
